  1. Hahaha since you were always so diligent about picking an image to go with every post, there’s a certain meta quality to just putting up a big freakin’ arrow pointing to that dropdown menu. Well done.

    1. Wow, thank you so much for the wonderful review. I really liked what you had to say about my story and hope your life continues to see more fun, more excitement, and more connections. Wishing you much love from Los Angeles!

  2. I am a student in Canada at Bishop Strachan School and have been doing a 21 day challenge of speaking to strangers everyday and blogging about it. I wanted to ask you a few brief questions as you are an expert in this field and this is the next step of our project. If you have a few minutes of free time it would be amazing if I could speak to you- whether an email or a brief call; whichever is most convenient for you
    Thank you so much

  3. I just read this whole blog in a day…. Great concept! Are you still talking to strangers? I used to work in the police (I’m in London) and I’ve got to be honest I laughed out loud at the cop asking you for ID….

Anyways thanks for a fab read – very inspiring!

  4. As an introvert, your story has really been an inspiration. You made me believe I can hone my social skills, and that it is just up to me. Must say thanks for that. I am curious. Are you still working in the banking industry? I am currently studying finance, and I know a banker requires very long working hours. How did you pull the time to write this blog? Just curious

      1. I have been trying to follow your path, and I just realized it is not as easy as it seems. It really takes a lot of courage. My respects on that!
BTW, I am trying to get into Sell Side someday. May I know how was your story getting into the field?

  5. Nice to see your still alive haha! I found this blog years ago, the nostalgia is killing me here. You definitely helped me on my path as well btw, as did a lot of other resources and people (owen cook from rsd being a hugh influence too, google him and youtube). Well anyway, greetings from Ireland my man! Peace out.

  6. That was a heck of a story. Truly inspirational. I just found this blog today, and literally spent the whole day reading it. Sad it came to an end. How is your life now? Do you still feel talking to strangers as a task? Or does it come more naturally now? I have always wondered whether we can completely change our introverted personalities.

    1. Thanks for checking out the blog. It’s been a journey, that’s for sure. I do still have the inertia or instinct to pretend to check my phone instead of engaging but I’ve got a lot of experience so when I overcome the inertia and make the effort it’s usually pretty natural. So yeah, I’m not more outgoing any more than I was at the start, but I’m not afraid to talk to strangers and I’m pretty good at it from experience. The challenge is the same with anything hard: starting.
